Women's D2 Basketball

  Chelsea Stoltenberg steps down after 10 years at the helm. She went 85-197 overall and 56-175 in conference during her time at Bemidji State. Overall after 11 full seasons there has been a losing record. Her best record came in 2020-2021 starting (10-6 8-4) Unfortunately the season was cut short because of Covid. In 2021-2022 she led BSU (14-13 11-10). Now that Stoltenberg is out who will Bemidji State turn to for their next head coach.

  At 6pm eastern Colorado Mesa will take on Indiana PA. IUPennsylvania is only 57 miles away I expect them to bring a large crowd with them .  Regardless a 2 seed vs a 3 seed with be a very competitive game. GVSU will play University of Alabama Huntsville in the second game, both teams have very good programs and great tradition.  We will see if Grand Valley can repeat as national champions as they aim for back to back Titles. 

  Indiana Pa won a close game against a hot Winston Salem State team , they were able to speak out the win 65- 64.  Ellie Wilkerson led all scorers with 18 points.  Minnesota Duluth  This team stays red after their first round upset victory over top seeded Minnesota State. Minnesota Duluth won 94-87 over Concordia-St. Paul ,  Myra Moorjani added 21 points while Maria Counts led all scorers with 25 points ,Lexi Karge also added 20 points.  Holy Family As a 5 seed Upset the #3 seed Daemen to advance to the elite 8 Ella Brown led her with 18 points ,as Holy Family won 78-62. Ne 'Vaeh Buntley scored 20 points for Daemen even though they came up short she led all scorers.  Grand Valley State  The Lakers celebrated a trip to the elite 8 on there home court with a 69-59 win over Northwood. Paige Vanstee led GVSU with 30 points.  Cal Poly Pomona Sydney Nelson led her team with 29 points as they defeated Central Washington 57-51 to advance to the elit...
